Dark Circles have been an issue which I’ve fought with for a long time. Over the years I’ve somewhat learned to accept the fact it’s just something that I have, but still doesn’t make me love the fact they are there. I could conceal them away but I’m not really into a heavy makeup routine. I’m more a BB cream and light powder kind of girl.
Last Christmas my esthetics school brought on a new product line called ColorScience, supposed to be very high end skincare that also works as a light makeup for sensitive skin people. I didn’t really think much of it. I tend to get bombarded with products as an esthetician and it takes a lot for a product to stand out to me. We got some free products as Christmas presents and I added them to my insanely large stash of other skincare products I’ve got cluttering up my bathroom counter.
A few months later I was talking to one of the other esthetic instructors I work with and she was raving about just how great that ColorScience Total Eye product was. Skeptical, later that week I decided to give it a try.
Colorescience Total Eye 3-in-1 Anti-Aging Renewal Therapy
Looking at the active ingredients I was happy to see it had zinc and titanium dioxide in there that would protect my eye area from UV damage. This product contains an SPF of 35. Since I live in Arizona I could definitely use the extra sun protection to help fight the fine lines slowly forming. A couple other things I like about this product is it contains a peptide palmitoyl tripeptide-5 that stimulates collagen synthesis and repair. I’m a big fan of peptides in my products because they work really well for anti-aging and keeping the skin firm.
I’m also a fan this product has iron oxides in it, this is usually found in mineral makeup. These iron oxides make the product have a nice tint to it, I need brightening to help with those dark circles and also the iron oxides help protect the skin. The tint in this product is definitely for a fairer skinned person and it’s just enough to brighten things up and will easily blend in to most fairer skin tones. It’s pigmented but not overly so it wont blend in easily.
I’m often a bit skeptical of products just because I see how much hype goes around about most of the stuff out there in the beauty industry. This one I figured was no different, but after using this product for a week or so I found myself grabbing for it before my makeup routine. I really love the light weight feel of it and it has a very natural look while still giving me more coverage than my natural skincare routine did before. Now when I use my foundation and powder it’s still very natural looking and my dark circles don’t bother me. I know I’m doing something good for my eye area, protecting it from the sun and stimulating collagen synthesis from the peptides.

Overall I really do love this product, I’ve been using it for months now and I would repurchase it again. Luckily a little does go a long way and my bottle has lasted me longer than I would expect from the small looking tube. This is a must have product for those suffering with lackluster tired, dull, dark circled eyes.
